On September 4, 2025, former President Donald Trump spoke out to debunk false rumors about his passing. Before attending a dinner with tech CEOs at the White House, he assured reporters: “I’m still here,” when asked about the circulating social media claims.
Earlier, on September 2, Trump had also denied the death rumors at a press conference, calling them “fake news” and stating that he was unaware such speculation was spreading.
The rumors arose after his absence from public events during Labor Day weekend, combined with images showing him with bruised hands and a swollen ankle, which fueled speculation about his health.
In response to the wave of rumors, Trump posted on Truth Social on August 31: “Never felt healthier in my life.”
At the dinner with tech CEOs, Trump even joked about the death rumors, saying he had received many congratulations for “still being alive.”\
This is not the first time Trump has been the subject of premature death rumors. Previously, in September 2023, his son Donald Trump Jr.’s Twitter account was hacked, spreading false claims about Trump’s death. \
